MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Becoming a member of the SWAC Alumni Association brings with it several benefits:
- Annual members receive a membership card, displaying individual’s active support of the organization;
- Lifetime members receive a plaque which can be showcased in one’s office wall or den at home;
- Members (annual and lifetime) receive voting privileges to determine the organization’s officers and other matters affecting the operations of the organization;
- Members (annual and lifetime) receive periodic updates on events and personnel matters affecting SWAC athletics programs via email and occasionally regular mail;
- Lifetime members receive invitations to participate in VIP events, paying appropriate fees
HOW MEMBERS’ DONATIONS HELP THE SWAC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Donations to the SWAC Alumni Association assist the organization in carrying out its core values and projects, including:
- Providing funding for the SWAC Alumni Association’s Degree Completion program, an initiative aimed at assisting student-athletes whose eligibility has expired complete their college studies;
- Providing funding to help finance the annual SWAC Alumni Association’s Legends Awards, a banquet honoring past and current league legends who have been pacesetters and trailblazers during their respective career in the conference;
- Providing funding to help finance bereavement overtures, such as expressions of support during illnesses and deaths.
